The Ancient Roman Domus of Palazzo Valentini

Enjoy a full immersion into the heart of ancient Rome

The remains of two large imperial-era houses and a huge temple have been brought to light since 2005 under Palazzo Valentini, located next to Trajan’s Column. The temple was most probably dedicated by Hadrian to Trajan and Plotina Divi, who were deified after their deaths.

Multimedia technology has brought archaeological remains back to life. With a multimedia reconstruction of the missing parts of the buildings, all visitors are able to explore the Rome of 2000 years ago, guided by Piero Angela’s narrative voice.
